Financial Resources

At New Hope Unlimited, we understand that out of pocket cost can be an important factor in your decision making process. We firmly believe it is important to have full transparency when it comes to expenses, and want to be sure you have all of the information you need to make the right treatment decision for you and your loved ones.

Cost of Treatment

The total cost for New Hope Unlimited's 12-day biological immunotherapy treatment will typically be between $38,500 - $49,000, with the final cost determined following your medical records review. When your Patient Navigator calls to discuss the review, they will also inform you of the total cost for treatment so you have time to plan your budget.

The cost quoted to you by your Patient Navigator includes your 12-day in-patient care including meals and services for you and your travel companion. There is an additional charge for most medical procedures outside of New Hope Unlimited including (but not limited to) blood transfusions, emergency medical services, surgical procedures performed at the hospital, or elective medical or dental procedures scheduled while at the clinic. If any of these services are required during your treatment, our doctors will discuss any additional costs with you before scheduling.

Payment Methods

New Hope Unlimited accepts payment in the form of wire transfer, cashier's check, credit card, and secure online bank transfer. Payment for treatment is due on or before your scheduled admission date.

To make payment more convenient, it is possible to pay for your treatment using a combination of the methods listed above. Also, we understand that sometimes it can be difficult to transfer funds from one account to another. In these cases, we can work together to schedule a payment date that meets your needs. Talk to your Admission Advisor if you would like more information.

New Hope Unlimited does not accept insurance. At this time, most health insurance plans do not provide coverage for alternative medical care. However, it may be possible to receive partial reimbursement from your health insurance provider depending on your policy. For more information on insurance reimbursement, please contact your health insurance provider directly.

Cancer treatment is a deeply personal journey, and we understand that financial concerns can sometimes make important healthcare decisions more difficult. Many patients do not have immediate access to the resources needed for a comprehensive treatment program, and in most cases insurance plans may not cover care received outside conventional treatment networks.

At New Hope Unlimited, we believe that financial limitations should never stand in the way of exploring meaningful and effective treatment options. Fortunately, there are a number of financing programs and patient-support resources designed specifically to help individuals access the care they need. These options can help make it possible to move forward with a treatment plan that aligns with your values, goals, and comfort level.

To help make this process easier, we’ve gathered a selection of financial resources that many of our patients have used to support their treatment journey. Navigating financial decisions while dealing with a health challenge can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you have questions about any of these options, or if you need to explore other options not listed here, our team is always here to help guide you.

Loan amounts typically range from $5,000 to $100,000, with competitive fixed interest rates and repayment terms that can extend up to 20 years, depending on the loan type.

The service is known for no origination fees, no prepayment penalties, and no late fees, making it a straightforward borrowing option.

In many cases, approved applicants can receive funding as soon as the same day, helping patients access funds quickly when treatment decisions cannot wait.

SoFi offers unsecured personal loans designed for borrowers who need flexible financing for major expenses, including medical treatment. Loan amounts typically range from $5,000 to $100,000, with fixed rates and repayment terms of up to seven years, allowing borrowers to spread costs over manageable monthly payments.

The application process is fully online and often includes same-day funding once approved, helping patients access funds quickly when time matters.

SoFi also provides helpful borrower features such as rate discounts for autopay and the ability to check eligibility without affecting your credit score.

Best Egg offers unsecured personal loans designed to help borrowers cover major expenses, including medical treatments. Loan amounts typically range from $2,000 to $50,000, with fixed interest rates and repayment terms of three to five years, providing predictable monthly payments.

The online application process is quick and straightforward, and many approved applicants receive funding within one business day.

Best Egg also allows you to check your rate without affecting your credit score, making it easy to explore financing options with confidence.

Fundraising and Donations

For many patients, community fundraising platforms such as GoFundMe have become a powerful way to gather financial support during a health challenge. These platforms allow you to share your story with friends, family, and your broader community, giving people who care about you a simple and secure way to contribute toward your treatment. In many cases, patients are surprised by how quickly support can grow once others understand their situation and want to help.

Beyond financial assistance, fundraising campaigns often create something just as meaningful — a network of encouragement and connection. Friends, coworkers, neighbors, and even compassionate strangers frequently rally together to support someone facing cancer, offering both practical help and emotional strength along the way. Many patients find that sharing their journey not only helps ease the financial burden of treatment, but also reminds them that they are not facing the road ahead alone.

Life Insurance Loan Options

Life Credit offers a unique financing option called a Living Benefit Loan, which allows patients to borrow against their existing life insurance policy. Qualified applicants may receive up to 50% of their policy’s death benefit as a cash advance, providing funds that can be used for treatment costs or other personal needs. The loan is secured solely by the life insurance policy, with repayment typically coming from the policy’s death benefit rather than monthly payments from the borrower. Patients who have at least $75,000 in life insurance coverage and a diagnosis of cancer or another serious illness may be eligible to apply.

Tax Deductions

In many cases, medical expenses related to cancer treatment may be eligible for tax deductions. Under current U.S. tax rules, taxpayers who itemize their deductions may be able to deduct qualified medical and dental expenses that exceed 7.5% of their adjusted gross income (AGI). These expenses can include a wide range of healthcare costs such as physician services, hospital care, laboratory tests, prescription medications, and other treatments related to the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, as defined by the Internal Revenue Service.

Depending on your individual situation, deductible expenses may also include certain travel costs associated with receiving medical care, such as transportation, lodging, and mileage for trips to treatment facilities. Some patients are also able to include related medical supplies, diagnostic testing, and specialized therapies that are recommended as part of their treatment plan. Because tax rules can be complex and may change over time, it is important to keep detailed records of all medical expenses, receipts, and travel related to your care throughout the year.

For a complete explanation of eligible expenses, patients can review the guidance provided in IRS Publication 502, which outlines what medical and dental expenses may qualify for deduction. We also encourage patients to speak with a qualified tax professional or accountant to determine how these rules apply to their personal financial situation. Many patients are surprised to learn that treatment-related expenses can provide meaningful tax relief when properly documented and included in their annual tax filing.

While we are happy to share general information that may be helpful, New Hope Unlimited does not provide tax or financial advice. Tax laws can vary depending on individual circumstances, so we recommend speaking with a qualified tax professional or accountant for personalized guidance.
